Language quality and editing

Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript professionally edited for clarity before submission. DDIT does not currently operate an in-house paid language-editing service. Authors may use an independent editing provider of their choice. Using language editing does not guarantee acceptance.

Tips

How to prepare a clear manuscript

Check terminology consistency, figure captions, and reference formatting
Ask a colleague fluent in academic English to read a near-final draft
If you use an external editing service, keep a record of the edited version for your files
