Digital Capital and Urban-Rural Integration Development: Based on the perspective of high-quality development of higher education

Abstract

One of the key tasks of China's economic and social development is to promote new urbanization and overall rural revitalization in order to promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas. This paper selects the provincial panel data of China from 2011 to 2023 (excluding Tibet, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) as the research sample, and based on the perspective of high-quality development of higher education, tests the influence of digital capital on urban-rural integration and its related mechanism through empirical analysis. This paper measures the level of digital capital and the level of urban-rural integration development by word frequency analysis and entropy method, and verifies that digital capital has a significant positive impact on urban-rural integration development, and promotes urban-rural integration development by improving the high-quality development level of higher education. This paper enriches the application theory of digital capital in urban-rural integration development, and provides reference and enlightenment for other developing countries.
